Wizard of Oz update 23rd November
Not much progress at all on this as I have been stitching a set of 6 Christmas Stockings and have 1½ stockings left to stitch. As soon as I've finished the stockings I will get on with this again as I am missing stitching it at the moment.
Charity Stitching
I have been charity stitching for a Christmas Auction for Cystic Fibrosis over the past week, not much to add to the auction but if they raise a little money it's worth it.

Poppies
There seems to be a craze at the school where I work for felt poppies (with 5 petals and a £5 price tag), last night I thought I'd try to crochet a poppy and found some free patterns on the internet but they didn't look quite right. I took the plunge and attempted to make my own. These are poppies 2 and 3 as poppy 1 was hi-jacked by my husband! Two of my girls have asked for these so I need to make another 2 so we all have them.

Cats Alphabet 27/08
Finally after 4,099 days I have finshed the Cats Alphabet. All it needs now is a good wash and framing.

Cats Alphabet 23/08
Finally I've finished all the crosses, the only bits left now are outlining 4 cats, 1 letter, 12 sets of whiskers and 42 mice! After 11 and a bit years it should be off the frame in a few days. When I first started this design it was taking me about 3-4 days to do a cat so I didn't expect to still be stitching so long after starting.

Wizard of Oz update 16th August
It's getting there very slowly, this is being put to one side for a couple of weeks as I'm trying to finish the Cats Alphabet.
Cats Alphabet
I started this project on 6/6/99 and thought I'd get it finished quite quickly well 11 years later I'm still stitching it and will admit that until about 5 days ago I hadn't stitched on it for well over a year. The end is in sight as there is only the border to finish now and the back stitch mice and cat whiskers. I've put it on the floor frame and although it's a bit big and finding somewhere to stand it so it's not in the way is awkward, I am finding it much easier to stitch on now. Hopefully it'll be up on the wall before long.

Wizard of Oz update 13th July
I 'fell out' with this design for a while after having to unpick a lot of stitches. I picked it up last week and enjoyed stitching it again hopefully I won't leave it too long to try and get this page finally finished!

Blackwork Sampler
I made this small blackwork sampler for my 13yo's form teacher for her 30th birthday. I hope it is fairly easy to understand, her favourite things, Radley Handbags, shoes, cats and the colour pink. She was delighted with the sampler, it was my first attempt at a blackwork sampler and was so quick and easy to stitch.Monday, 4 January 2010
